The Kokrajhar Law College Students' Union (KLCSU) is the general students' union of the college, formed every year as per the guidelines of the Lyngdoh Committee. Membership of the union is compulsory for all students admitted to the college, and office bearers are chosen through election or selection from the regular students pursuing the LL.B course.
The Union is maintained to inculcate social responsibility and leadership qualities from student life, thereby promoting integrity amongst the students. It conducts activities ranging from sports to social and legal awareness programmes, and helps run the Legal Aid Cell of the college, facilitating visitors seeking legal counselling and advice.
The annual college magazine “Swrangni Riphinai” (“Reflection from Bright”) is published by the KLCSU with creative and legal articles showcasing student talent. A wall magazine is also published periodically by the students with artistic and literary creations.
As a special career opportunity, the college provides free coaching to students preparing for competitive examinations such as ACS, AJS and others — the law degree opens a vast career scope beyond the Bar.
Students from the SC, ST, OBC and PWD categories can avail the Government of India scholarship as per notifications issued by the Government of Assam. Applications are made online through the GoI National Scholarship Portal as per the notified dates.
Regular festivals like College Week and important national and international days are observed through the year, alongside cultural events in the college auditorium, farewell and prize distribution ceremonies, and Bihu/Bwisagu celebrations.
The 3-year LL.B course follows the semester-wise syllabus designed under Bodoland University, including the new criminal laws — the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 — along with regional optional papers like Land Laws of Assam and Bodo Customary Law & Practice.
Previous years' question papers of the LL.B semester examinations are available for reference in the college library. Digitised question papers will be published on this page — keep an eye on the Notices section for updates.
