Kokrajhar Law College was established in 1985 as the sole legal education institution in the Bodoland Territorial Council region, Assam.
The founder, Advocate Late Niranjan Kr. Narzary, envisioned a regional centre for high-quality legal learning. Supported generously by community leaders, including Late Mohani Mohan Brahma and many others, the institution has successfully evolved into a vital civic cornerstone.
Over its operational history, the college has produced countless successful advocates, magistrates, judges, legal consultants, and civil service professionals who serve throughout Northeast India and beyond.
The college offers a rigorous three-year LL.B. degree course with semester-based instruction, affiliated with the prestigious Gauhati University and fully approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Integrated systems and advanced legal research models are embedded inside the coursework.
Currently operating in Tengapara, Mwiderkhoro Road in a two-story building, KLC has acquired seven bighas of land in Khargaon. Plans are underway to establish a state-of-the-art campus featuring modern digital lecture halls and integrated mock courtrooms.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to Kokrajhar Law College. We believe that legal education is not merely classroom instruction but a commitment to building a just society.
Over the last 35 years, KLC has adapted continuously to match contemporary needs, combining digital learning platforms with physical moot courts and clinical legal aid projects. Each student here receives individual mentoring to help them excel in academics and ethical consciousness.
I encourage all prospective students to challenge themselves inside our mock court halls and serve local villages through our awareness camps.
