OBSERVATION OF “CONSTITUTIONAL LAW DAY”, 2021

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW DAY, /26th November 2021

On the occasion of 72nd “Constitution Law Day” KLC has observed this very special day and organised a seminar on the theme: “Prospects and Challenges of Constitutionalism in India” in collaboration with DLSA, Kokrajhar at Kokrajhar Law College Premises on 26th November 2021.

The program began with offering of tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by Chief Guest Mrs. Arunima Deka, District & Session Judge along with other guests, faculty members and students of KLC. That was followed by reading of preamble. Inaugural speech was delivered by Sri Suresh Basumatary, Principal i/c emphasising the importance of National Law Day.

Mrs. Arunima Deka, Chief Guest delivered valuable speech on “Constitutional provisions and its importance in Indian Democracy”.

Sri Boloram Kshetri, DLSA, Secretary, Kokrajhar, Guest of honour, highlighted on “Preamble and its importance in the Indian Democracy”.

Dr. P.K. Aditya, Asst. Professor, KLC emphasised on the “Importance of Constitution for welfare and development of all the citizens of Indian Democracy”.

The 2nd half of the program was Technical Session: i.e; the Seminar presentation by students

At the beginning, the Jury Panel members for the Seminar were introduced by Sri Bharjin Brahma, G.S. Kokrajhar Law College Students Union.

      The participant students have presented their seminar papers on various topics.

The best paper presenters were awarded with cash prize and a certificate.

1st Prize – Miss Deepabali Brahma (4th Semester Students)-(Rs 1000/-)

2nd Prize – Sri Enamul Hoque, (4th Semester Students)-(Rs 500/-)

Lastly, the vote of thanks was offered by Miss Bimala Basumatary, President, Kokrajhar Law College Students Union.
